I'm just kind of curious as to what will show up. My birthday and christmas is coming up, so money is coming my way! |

Hmmm, I have never associated 'Stanley' (you know the one I mean) with the word cheap in any context. Do you mean cheap, as in I got this great bass cheaply, or cheap as in isn't this a great balsa wood copy of Stanley's latest bass? I assume you mean you want an Alembic SC for $3,500 or less. Well, the market currently sucks, so you may get lucky. I hope you score, which ever you are looking for. |

Keep checking the For Sale thread and Craig's and eBay's sites for the elusive Alembics and you seriously might get lucky. An wonderful 8-string MK beauty should have gone for over $5,000, but went for under $3,500, as no one showed up at the end to challenge the winner. That was a few short weeks ago. However, it is always a case of you have to be there or you will miss out. It usually takes great effort to land one of these great deals most of us only wish we got. Most of us here are too lazy (After working all day) or content enough with what they already have to pursue these few treasures with vigor. So, just keep trying, and you just might be the last man standing at the end. Go get em! |
