It's item 250361806684 and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas what the extra switches do.

Nice instrument.

Any comment at this point would be conjecture. The two switches that look sort of chrome colored closest to the strings appear to have come after the original build. If they were original, they would have matched the rest. I would guess that it is standard Series I electronics plus a master volume.

Those two switches are probably some sort of quick tone switch. The two sorts of switches that are most common would be either "bright" switches for the individual pickups or bass and treble boost/cut switches.

There are four ways I can think of that you can get a better answer than this. First, you can try to get a good pic of the inside of the electronics cavity that might allow someone to recognize components. Second, you could get a serial number and hope the extra switches were done by the factory and show up in the files. Third, Mica could take a look and recognize the instrument and remember the one-off work that was done on it. Finally, the owner might be willing to try some things and tell you what they do. That's a premium price for an older guitar under these circumstances without solid confirmation that everything is in 100% functional condition anyway, so such contact might be appropriate before sending payment.

And, as always, remember that a Series instrument of that age could need some expensive factory TLC to ensure whisper quiet operation. If that's important to you, factor it into the total cost of the instrument.

That is a very nice looking case as well, I wonder what it weighs? Looks protective, but potentially heavy.

They might be mellow filters.

That's probably it, Dave. Mellow filters show up so infrequently that it's easy to forget that they exist. That's a nice tonal option to have if you are correct.
