I just bought a series one that is missing several things and am wondwering if anyone here might have any of them. The bass is posted in the series one showcase section. It's 77-829. My goal is to return it to as original as possible over the next year or two. Things I am interested in are:

Logo, knobs, pickups, PF-6 type card and other electronics, Switchcraft 5 pin connector, original type pots and switches, rotary pickup selector switch, and original case. I also know that many of these parts I can order new.

Thanks,
Dave

My guess is that your best bet is to find a complete set of Series I electronics in a non-Alembic bass, such as a Jazz bass that someone has modified. You'll need to be very patient, and lucky, and vigilant. So you'll want to do a quick Ebay search, and a national craiglist search, on a daily basis.

Dave, (the not moder one):

Alembic should have all the parts, but they won't be cheap. Dave, (the moder one), is right, keep on looking every day and sooner or later what you need will turn up in some form or another. As the late, loved, Paul, the bad one, used to say: "there will always be another". The one exception you may discover is the logo. I believe Alembic will require you to send the bass back to the factory for a logo. They keep VERY tight control over logos. (Though I believe they have a special where you can buy a logo for around $13,500 and get a Series I bass or guitar for free!!!)
