I am sort of interested in parting with one of my series 1 basses. It is a 5 string bass with a graphite neck. It has a body style that resembles a spoiler, except the upper horn is a bit extended. It is rather unusual because it has the graphite neck and is a medium scale. Yep, 32 inches, and 5 string. It is VERY easy to play with very narrow string spacing. It is almost guitar-like. This bass started life with a clear finish over Macassar ebony. At some point it was told to me that it was sent back to Alembic to be refinished in black with chrome plated hardware. That may have happened, but I doubt it. It seems that the finish is just not up to the Alembic standard. It is still a great bass, and it comes with a cord and power supply, and the original case. Comes with the registration card, and appraisal from Alembic for $13k for insurance purposes.

I would not mind keeping this instrument, but I only use it around the house. I have become SO used to playing a small body style that I have trouble with this instrument. I am used to the strap button being on the back of the bass rather than the horn. I have been playing the other body style for quite some time now and I incorporate it's neck heaviness in my playing style. This body style is just not for me. If it were a small standard body, I would not be parting with it. I will try to post some pics of it later if I get some time to do so. I have been sorta busy lately. If you can give this instrument a good home, I would appreciate it. Get in touch with me and I will give a description that is brutally honest.

I am going to try putting this bass on e-bay. There is one on e-bay right now that is very similar to the one I am selling, and it is going for more money than I am asking. Go figure!
