PERFECT AND UNUSED CONDITION. Purchased in '96 - held out for 7 years, but band won't let me play them, they only allow "vintage" guitars. cut from same slice of wood, fretless and fretted. Awesome beauty - not trying to make one penney, asking what I paid - $5000 each or $9500 for both. Includes flawless orig. cases, and rack mount 5 pin power supplies. email me for pics - paramchi7@aol.com

Matt,

Glad you took my advice and posted your basses here. I'm sure they'll garner some interest. One thing I shoulda clued you in on....This group is VERY serious about pictures.

I'll post one of the pictures you emailed me. If you'd rather I didn't let me know & I'll delete the post.

BTW - If you go to SHOWCASE and look in the SIGNATURE BASSES and SERIES I BASSES folders you can see my own pride & joy.

Coco Bolo Series II Bookends

Peace,

James

Wow. Gorgeous instruments. I think it's time to start your own "vanity" project on the side and use them for that. Or use a beatup old P-bass for your pictures and videos and the twins onstage. But then, I've just had most of the free world talk me out of selling my Alembic. What style(s) of music are you playing?

1 word : ... speechless ...

Could you share some more details Matt ?
- short scale I guess ?
- coco bolo front and back ? book matched ?
- is that some special inlay on the first fret of the fretted version ?
- red side leds ?
- other options that we don’t see ?

Maybe Mica or Valentino can assist if you share the serial numbers?
As Malthumb already said, additional pics are more than welcome. We don’t see a couple of those very often. They certainly will find a good home!

What!?! You mean you don't already have one Paul????

Those are both beautiful instruments that I'm sure you would regret losing. Can't you talk any sense into your band mates? Or if you want to see them change their outlook, ask them to buy your Alembics ;) Wait, that's still no good.... For what it's worth, keep them! Think about how hard it would be to replace them when you miss them, and you will miss them.

Matt-

Vintage only hunh? How 'bout makin' a deal with Michael (dela217) for one of his early Alembics (circa '73)? You can't get much more vintage than that!

Hey you guys! Thanks for the feedback! Well, to answer the questions I've seen - no LED's on either neck - serials are fretted - 9610249 and fretless is - 9610250. Mica would probably be glad to help. She's quite cool. THANK YOU JAMES FOR POSTING A PIC! I believe they are short scale, not sure. Coobolo fronts and backs and headstocks. Don't know what "bookmatched" means. Thin maple slab, walnut core, thin maple again. 3 purpleheart strips visible at back of necks. Inlay at first fret of fretted is East Indian symbol - can't describe it but will try to put photo up. Custom made by talented inlay lady up there. Called a "Sri Chakra" - drawing might come up on a search engine. thanks again for the posts! Matt
