Well spotted guys!
It's nice to know that some people really take the time to investigate these instruments, and report what could be a possible scam.
Thanks

The one in the lefthand picture doesn't have the Alembic script whereas the one on the right does. Hmmmm, something wrong here? Lets hope dave spots this thread and closes in in the scammer.

If anyone knows my Spoiler, it's Flip ;-)

The first pic is my Spoiler, the second one ('88) sold recently.
It was for sale here, on TB and @ The LowEnd.

Wow. I welcomed Nick to the club. I now respectfully ask for Nick to step forward and explain what is going on here.

It wouldn't be the first time someone has borrowed photos of similar instruments when they didn't own a camera (not a good practice, IMHO). Let's give the seller a chance to explain before we become too suspicious.

I was already late for work when I posted 888.
I saw my bass and made a quick remark before rushing to my bike, sorry for not mentioning directly that it is my bass ;-)

There could be a nice bass for sale in Canada, doesn't have to be a scam.

Though I don't mind someone using my pictures (for legitimate purposes only), it would be nice and correct to mention that you are not showing the bass that's for sale. ;-)

Best thing to do: Post pictures of the actual bass that's for sale and post the serial number (or at least the year it was build) + some info.
Hardshell (original) case, state?

and if it is a scam, well: @#$%^%$%#$*&%$#!

Yeah, I guess I would have more of an emotional reaction myself if I saw my own personal instrument listed for sale. We definitely need some explanation, and I agree that if this is in fact a scam, that the seller should be banished to the fires of Hades.
