I sent the seller the following:

"Just out of curiosity, what is so special about yours that one would spend over $400 for it, when a brand new one from Alembic, with a battery clip (which your's appears to be missing), is $95?"

Maybe he meant to say that Jeff Beck owned it and that his finger prints and sweat are the added value ? Or Alembic shipping to UK is $ 400. There has to be something.....

Or maybe that Alembic Activators (yes, I know, totally different product) are about $1000 new and $500 used, so his is a "great deal".

Clueless seller selling to clueless buyer - happens all the time!

I bet that he just googled "preamp" and went with the first price he found.

Still clueless.
