Like you I've regretted selling an F1X (and an SVP pro too) but never fear, help is at hand in the shape of Fender's TBP-1. There aren't many in the country but if you contact fender UK, you should be able to try one out at a gear shop near you and if you haggle you can get the price down to around £400. It's essentially the same old fender preamp that the F1X is based on, with a few user-friendly features thrown in for good measure. I'm loving mine (can you tell?)
