It's hard to tell from the picture whether those are switches or CVQs. Nicer pictures would definitely be helpful.

Dave, the extra large knob is probably a master vol, so it's either S1 with MV, or S2... Blowing up the photo a little it does look more like CVQ. Sweet.

I'm also thinking S2. I was in touch with the owner last week, but he appears to have drifted away since then.

Yes it is an S2! Could be an early '80's model and look at the back plate........continuous wood!! If it's in decent shape this is not a bad deal.

I tend to agree that if it's an S2 and in good shape, it does appear to be a very good deal.

You wonder why people even bother posting things if they're not going to respond to queries. It's a really strange thing. Sigh.

Then it sold. That would be my assumption.

If it sold, why was the posting left up so long without a response of any kind? I'm not the only one who had a hard time getting a response from the guy. You'd think common courtesy would dictate some form of response, like, "Hey, it sold, thanks for your interest," you know?
At least, that's what I would do if I had something listed on Craig's List...

Peace;)

I have found Craigslist is one of those places that people list on and forget about, it's just not a very personal place.

Kungfusheriff, are you coming to the New Jersey Gathering, this Saturday? It would be cool to see you (and your basses, of course!)

Peace;)

Chalie, Shawn,

I'll do my best, I promise. My wife forgot the camera, but I have a decent one on my iPhone... I'll do what I can. I'm actually in Parsippany, right now @ The Hampton Inn. We're hitting NYC, tomorrow, if any of you guys from the area would like to hook up, in New York, that would be awesome!!!

Peace;)

I recently bought a Tacoma JR55 acoustic (Jumbo Rosewood -- top of the line Tacoma). Will someday be a highly sought after guitar, I am betting.

This is the USA acoustic guitar no longer made in the great Northwest because Fender bought them and closed them down. Yesterday I bought a Roland AC90 Acoustic Amp. I am blowing myself away with this combo. Not Alembic, but I plan to record with the Tacoma and mix in the old Series I bass (could be some offerings from the Series I guitar as well.)

I spent the day in NYC, for the first time, August 7th! It was cool. Then hit the Alembic Gathering, August 8th, and played Peabody's in Cleveland, Sunday. Not bad for a weekend! I had the most fun at the Gathering, though, hands down! Sorry you missed it, kfs!

Later;)
