1975 Fender Precision

1975 Fender Precision

$1000 shipped by UPS to continental US

With its Fender Flatwounds and maple neck, it produces that classic punchy P-Bass sound. Here's your chance to pick one up at below market value!

The only changes that I have made were to reinstall the "original" parts (bridge and pickup covers) that were in bags when I got the bass. It had a Badass Bass II bridge installed and that is what I used until recently. The Badass bridge is available for an additional $50 if you are interested.

The most obvious change is the bypass switch that was added. This allows the pickup to be directly connected to the output jack, bypassing the volume and tone knobs. This makes a significant difference in the sound. It is slightly louder and a lot brighter. Even with the volume all the way up and the tone wide open, it is amazing how much they affect the sound. This switch shows just exactly how much they do!

There are the usual finish cracks, but no visible damage to the wood. The frets are well used, but there are no playability issues and no buzzing. The neck is straight.

The white pickguard is not cracked and appears to be original.

It currently has straplocks installed, but I might be able to find some vintage Fender strap buttons.

An SKB hard case is included. It is in excellent condition and does a fine job of protecting the bass on the road.

I have a 1971 sitting around with the same specs but is 100 % stock (bridge, pick up , wiring)
(ash body ,maple neck) as yours except you still have the bridge and pickup covers which disappeared on mine about 30 years ago . I wish you luck on the sale. I will be watching to see what yours sells for because I am thinking of selling or trading mine as well.I hope you get a good price for it.
