I know I'm going to regret selling these as I've never seen another set for sale before or since I acquired this set... I bought these a couple of years ago, but never got around to installing them in anything. Below is the original ad copy from when I purchased the set. I will try to post the original pictures. The pickups are still in the original packaging materials from when I received them and should be exactly as described below:

"I have a set of very early, original series Alembic Bass pickups for sale. It has been said that these were hand made by Rick Turner himself during the period when Phil Lesh and Jack Cassidy originally got their instruments. Perfect for someone restoring an old Alembic or for a Greatlful Dead/Jefferson Airplane inspired bassist looking to capture that sound. The set includes the original matched hum cancelling coil - you will see in the photos that this is the one with the scratch marks on it - This was hidden beneath a brass cover plate in between the Neck and Bridge position. The two pickups however are cosmetically great and all measure as a matched set."

I've got about $600 into the pickups, and as I'm sure we've all noticed, all things Alembic cost more than they did two years ago...

I'm happy to hear that, Todd. Glad that you are able to reap the harvest. Once you install them, please post or email me directly what they sound like. I never got to hear them...
