This one has has been bought and sold on ebay about three times in the past 6 weeks as I recall. The last time (Oct. 2nd) it sold for $1101. I suspect there might be something wrong with it!

Sure is something wrong with it -- it's not an Alembic! ; )

Are you sure that's the same bass? I thought the last one that was re-posted a few times (initially it was in a bundle with a fernandes "alembic-like" guitar) looked a bit different (blemishes in different spots?), and also didn't come with a power supply... (Of course it's possible it's just different pictures of it and the new owner found a power supply to go with it :-)

Ahh, i just looked at the old auction, i guess you're right, because the description is very similar word for word. But the pictures made it look much darker in the old auction. At least now there's a power supply and case though ;) (but it does make you wonder what else could be wrong)

Well, I did some checking too. This bass is a different one then the one that was originally bundled with the 6 string guitar. You can tell by the difference in the zebra figuring. I also dug deep into my picture files, film back then, and found a pic of the bass with the toggle switch in place of the rotary switch. I once owned it, and I installed the three way toggle switch myself, when the original fell apart. Funny seeing things like this come around.

Oh, and by the way... when I had it, there was not an Alembic logo on the headstock.
