You don't see these come up very often in the UK.

I do think the seller will have a hard time trying to sell it for £5,500.

If it had been a 5 string signature deluxe I'd have taken a punt.

Everything's good north of the border except the weather;-) Seriously though, I'm saving for my 50th birthday present which is increasingly looking like it'll be a 5 string triple omega sig dx with walnut top and back. £5500 would be a bargain compared with the price of a new instrument.

Very true. I've already got the Dragon Magic as my early 50th birthday present as you know, and that was expensive. However compared to getting a new one made it was an unbelievable bargain.

All the best and I hope you find your dream bass or things get even better up north and you get Alembic to make it specifically for you. Better financially if you don't have to have it shipped in from USA as, talking from experience, the duty will be painful.

I have a gig at the BBC Maida Vale Studio's next week Friday with Apache Indian for the BBC's 75 years of broadcasting from that studio. Lots of other bands will be appearing there during the day as well. I've read on the net somewhere that Fleetwood mac are also gonna be there too.

Wow! That sounds pretty cool jazzy. You'll need to let us know nearer the date what channel you'll be on and approximately what time.

I sold my Triple O at the start of this year for £2900 and it had more options than that and way nicer wood. Mint condition too. £5500 is far too expensive IMO.

Crikey Shaun! I didn't realise you'd let it go for so little!. I'll commiserate with you over a couple of beers next month.

Graeme, these days that's all it will take. ;-)

From the enquiries I made the price I sold it for was pretty much market value. Of course I do now wonder if I should've hiked it a bit to see whether anyone would've bitten, but that's life (well, mine at least!).
