Regrettably for sale here is my 1992 Alembic Europa. I seriously thought this would be the last bass I would buy however I need the cash! I have played many Alembics and this is definitely among the best of them. It totally nails the Stanley vibe if your after that but also nails a beautiful warm tone unlike any other Alembic I've heard. You can hear an example on my Myspace page myspace.com/phippsyg (I think-haven't checked it for a long time! The track to check is Stand tall-3 tracks of the Alembic). This is among the top of the range in Alembics with the hierachy in price structure running

Series II,I
Stanley Signature
Europa
Rogue
Essence
Orion
Epic
Excel

The bass is an Alembic Europa made 100% in Santa Rosa California, 1992. The specs are as follows.

Active Electronics (They did invent them after all!)
Two MXY pickups
Master volume and pan
Low pass filter with 2 position Q switch
Two Quick tone change switches

Wood
Five piece Maple and Purpleheart neck (3 Purpleheart laminates)
Mahogany Body with Flame Walnut Top (Over $1000 upcharge)
Ebony fingerboard
Dual trussrods
Oval pearloid fingerboard inlays

Hardware
Gold Alembic Gotoh tuners
Polished brass adjustable nut, bridge, sustain block and tailpiece
Gold Schaller straplocks
Bronze peghead logo

To order this bass with the Flamed Walnut top and Hardcase (Original hardcase is included) the bass would cost well in excess of $10,000AUD I'm listing it at $4500AUD to sell. A top of the line Alembic for a price similar to what I have seen Epics sell for. The bass has been played and has a few lovebites on it. It has been pleked and currently strung E-C. I can easily have this re setup to your needs. I'll try to add some more photos over the next few days.

This is an amazing bass and I was convinced when I purchased it that it would be the last bass I would buy. I hope it finds a good home.
