- Circa 1980 Serial #80 1607
- Bubinga front & back
- only played for a few months in 1980 then put away in case for the last 29 years! Only belt buckle scratches on back plate (wood is in perfect condition)
- Original blue case (just a bit of wear on the outside
- No blue box (although I'm still looking for it just in case)

- I will update this post if/as I receive more info about it!

Make me an offer - I'm very motivated to sell it ASAP!

Thanks!

That's a BEAUTIFUL guitar! I've got a Bubinga bass and it's stunning in person. I'm tempted to buy this baby so he can have a little sister to play with, but I think the rest of my family would prefer Christmas presents under their trees instead! [Also tempted to start a mock auction with a low Buy-It-Now bid as a tongue-in-cheek poke at eBay, but will not as it might be misunderstood...].

[Thanks Keith, for info on how to edit my post.]

Ooops!

So sorry everyone! I meant my post as a bit of tongue-in-cheek and a bit of admiration for the guitar itself. It was not my intention to start an auction here. Sorry about the misunderstanding. [Moderators, I'm not sure how to edit my original post, but please feel free to edit or delete it yourselves.]

DrJ... Thank you for the kind words about Dark Baby... It would be so nice for her to see the light of day after 29 years of sleep in her case!

Your intentions were certainly well received by me 9-)... thanks Adriaan and Keith for the edifaction too...8-)

If anyone is interested in my Dark Baby -email me. I'm already receiving a few from very interested parties ...and I'm motivated to sell quickly...

I hate to say this but... I feel a little like Judas... "kissing" my baby on the cheek, by showing her off and describing her here to everyone... only to sell her for a proverbial 30 pieces of silver...

<sigh> the things we do for our families...

UPDATE: I have found the original 5-pin cable. I have not found the blue box, but I have found the Alembic F2B stereo amplifier that I bought with the guitar!!

It's in full working order. I only used it for the same few months that I played Dark Baby. The marks on the outer case were made because it was left in my guitar rack for about a year, then pulled out of the rack and placed in an unmarked box (which is why I can never find anything).

Here is a photo of it:

I want to sell:
- "Dark Baby" bubinga 6-string guitar circa 1980
- 5-pin (original) cable
- F2B Stereo Preamp

...all together, if I can get the right price for all. Please email me with your interest and offers ASAP!

Thank you!

Thanks again Kris for bringing Conner's request to my attention... I just replied on his thread.

Wolf... I shot you back via email!

Everyone on this site is very helpful... it's much appreciated!

I purchased three (3) Alembics in 1980 (Series I bass, Dark Baby & Leviathon double-neck + the F2B... that was before the days of a wife, 4 sons, a mortage, etc...

Peace all!

I'll be third in line for the F2B if that is politically correct. :-)

Sonicus and dluxe... Connor hasn't gotten back to me yet... so why don't you both (or either) email me with an offer... it looks like I'm going to sell the F2B on its own and I need to move on the sale.

Thanks,
g

Of course you may ask, my dear Wolf...

Let's see, it was a Thursday August 16, 1980... It was hot in the city... 9-)

Oh yeah... then and... this morning.
