For those of you who remember the halcyon days of BC Rich, I have an stunning 1980 Koa Eagle on eBay that I am selling to raise money for the 2 early series I basses I've just purchased. You will love this bass - plays and sounds amazing and is a stunning piece of craftsmanship Will consider trade for any series I or other Alembic. Am in need of a fretless as well. http://cgi.ebay.com/SUPERB-MOSER-RESTORED-1980-BC-RICH-KOA-EAGLE-BASS_W0QQitemZ270507061479QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item3efb7a30e7 |

P.S. If anyone has an 8 string that they would like to trade or sell, let me know. Thanks, Todd |

Nice bass! I love the sound and playability of the early BC Rich instruments. They just feel right! Dave |

I had the opportunity to play Todd's Rich at the last Alembic gathering, and I have to say that this bass is set up perfectly, a real player!! |

I've always loved the tone of this BC Rich : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABLwmYI09Lw Is it the same model - looks a bit 'pointier' to me, lol. |

That's a real beauty Todd, and if things were more conducive I'd definitely take a look at yours. Eagles are my favorite body style from BC Rich and I had 3. Here are two that I had at the same time. As nice as they were they had to make room for other things. I do still have an amazing '80 Mockingbird (Longhorn), all Bird'seye Maple. It's the best playing/sounding Rich I've ever had. |

I had a koa winged maple neck as well but never saw a koa neck with maple wings. It is hard to get a neck through Koa these days. |

The whole BC market had calmed down (along with everything else it seems). These early BC's were flying around a few years ago and finally peaked out with the vintage "correction". Now they're starting to show up again, albeit slowly. There are actually 2 early Eagles and an all-Koa Mock on ebay right now. That's the most I've seen at once in some time. |

Bass sold - I also have an all original, virtually un-played 80 Koa Eagle availble for $2500 with original case. Let me know if you have interest and I'll send pix |
