Hey, gang. It's me again, back for a minute in hopes of selling my last remaining piece of boutique gear, a 1998 Walter Woods amp. I loved running my Series basses through it in stereo, and maybe one of you will too.

Output is 100W at 4 Ohms and 150W at 4 Ohms. Stereo preamp, mono power section. Sounds great loud or quiet through any cab I've paired it with but preferred it through my Bag Ends. Amp is in perfect cosmetic and operating condition; I'd call it mint except for one missing chassis screw. Photos upon request.

I'm asking $1000 plus insured shipping in the US. The amp will ship in an ABS plastic Plano pistol case which is also in near-mint condition. Insured international shipping at buyer's expense. My e-mail address is in my profile.

Shawn,

Good to hear from you again, even if it's to part with yet more gear. You must be sacrificing for something big- I wish you all the best in your endeavors and hope to see you back here, sooner than later with at least one more Alembic...

I'm LOVING the Series II Six- it's freaking fantastic- I finally used it in a live gig, Jan. 7th, and it was awesome. Someone will most likely have to pry it from my cold, dead hands when I die, 80 years or so from now!

Wait a minute- that's a lot of wishful thinking- I'm 38, now, so I'd be 118- even with optimism at it's best, I don't figure I'll live to that ripe old age, but here's hoping.

An interesting side note- we just got word about a show at Uncle Mike's in NYC. We've got several other pots on the fire, in that area, so we're trying to get at least 2 of them to coincide. We're looking to get out to NYC in the Spring, so hopefully it will all come together.

It would be great to see you out, when we play NYC- you'll get to see the Big 6 in action and say hi to her. I'm still thinking of a name for her...

If I had the funds, I'd jump on that amp, but I just recently purchased this killer S2 Six from someone...

Peace;)

Hi, Frank

Right now I'm throwing everything I have into a down payment for a house; I think our landlord is getting close to defaulting on his mortgage so I want to be ready to strike a quick deal with his bank if that happens.

Glad you're loving the bass -- like I told you, it was yours the whole time and I was just holding it for you. Post any video from that gig on YouTube? I'd love to hear how that bass sounds with you playing it.

I haven't played NYC in years, but I work down there occasionally. If we're there at the same time, I'll try to make the gig.

Good luck - I hope you get the house! I bought a house just about a year ago - it has done wonders for cutting down on GAS! (Not 100% of course - got the new Taurus III pedals on the way...)

Shawn,

I figured as much. We're looking into selling our house and moving, ourselves. We've outgrown our 3 bedroom house, and need to find something larger. I have video from that Jan. 7th show, but I'm going to have to get my more technologically savvy friend to post some of the footage- it sounds pretty good, considering its just recorded with one stationary camera, and is the sound coming off the PA Mixing Board.

Good luck with the house hunting, I'm in sort of the same boat. I believe that if you close before April 30th, you get the $6500 Tax Credit (for next year's Taxes- maybe that's the ticket to another Alembic...), so hopefully you make the deadline. I'm not so sure we will, but we'll see how things work out.

I'll let you know when/where we're playing in NYC as much in advance as I can. How far are you from NYC, where you live?

Peace;)

I live 120 miles due north of NYC. Not much chance of us closing a sale by April 30, as we're waiting for my wife -- who just finished her teaching certificate -- to get a job before we get serious about a planned property purchase.
