There's a guitar at www.shopgoodwill.com item no. 5925922 that's labeled as a Del Rey (Teisco) Pan-Alembic, and it does say Pan-Alembic on the control plate. As I said, What the heck? I know the history of the so-called Pan-Alembic Teles, but this one is really weird - I mean, Really Weird.

It looks to me like someone added the pickguard piece containing "Pan-Alembic". I don't remember these 60's Teisco's having two piece pickguards.

I just received an email from someone looking to bid on this guitar with two hours left on the auction, and asking what I knew about it. I told him there was absolutely nothing Alembic about the guitar. I'll email him about the pickguard info.
