Just wanted to share. I recently bought a used Spector NS-2A bass from the Lowend bass store in Tenessee and wanted to give my endorcement to the Store and the guy who owns it, Brian. http://www.thelowend.net

The bass I received was priced very fairly, is in perfect "like new condition" (Amazing because it's over 20 years old) and Brian took care of the shipping charges. When I want a new (or used) bass his store will be the 1st I check out and recommend that anyone on this forum looking for a nice professional level bass check his store out. The selection is also amazing and turns over constantly. ....... Oh he also keeps his web site up to date!! They also still have a beautiful Custom Alembic SC there!

BTW I have no affiliation with him or the store, just a happy customer.

And unfortunately for me the BAT BASS is WAY WAY WAY WAY out of my price range and i needed a very good 4 string bass for performance and recording which is why I bought the used Spector. I have to say it may not be an Alembic but for the money it has a neck through design, great look and body shape, great electronics and sound and awesome playability. It's NOT an Alembic (I know I've owned 3) BUT I'm VERY happy with the pro level Spector basses and am a proud owner. SOMEDAY I'll save enough to get BACK into the Alembic family but for now I'll have to be happy being a fan!

Yes, it may be a bit high for the current economic climate. But any one who has the means and wants it should go for it as I will not attempt to catch the " Bat Bass" @ that price .

Definitely a one of a kind bass and a beauty!!!! And as I mentioned, and the reason I started this post, The Lowend is a great store with an outstanding selection of basses and Brian was great to do business with. I had a very pleasent purchasing experience!

I'll second that endorsement. Brian helped me sell a Ken Lawrence Brase a few years back. Very smooth transaction.

I sold Brian a '79 Series II 32" scale back in '99 or '00 when I was preparing to pay for my '00 Series II. Excellent guy to deal with.

Hey James... I almost bought a 32" small body a few weeks back. What was your experience with the balance?

I too have had a good experience with Brian @ The Low End. Brian drove three cabinets to town on the way to one of his guitar shows and helped saved a large shipping charge. Very appreciated and respect his business.

Mike,

I don't recall having any issues with balance with this bass. It was more than 10 years ago since I last played that bass, but I think I would've remembered if there was a balance problem.
