Alembic Series one bass (the one like Stanley Clarke had) - Made in USA in 1975. A rare original piece. Small Body. Bridge moved back to acomodate long scale strings. The back and top are Koa, the body wood is birch and the neck is walnut and maple. It's a beautiful bass with all the variations in tone that those Alembics can give you with the active eq and Q filters onboard. What makes this bass so interesting (aside from being an Alembic in the first place!) is that is has the brown pickups (not black) that were used during the early period of Alembic's history. There weren't many of these made with brown pickups (by late 70's they all were black) and you NEVER see them for sale on EBAY or anyplace for that matter. Further - it has both front AND sides LED's installed in the neck, with a mini toggle that controls the three modes - VERY COOL effect on stage!!!
