Hi Guys, given I am working through custom inlay designs with Susan for a new bass, and that I picked up a lacewood Rogue last month I need to offload this Stanley Clarke!!! It's in very good condition for it's age -- with a bit of fretwear at 22-24, but the finish is in good shape. I would like it to go to a good home, and a reasonable offer won't be refused. For those of you in the US I am coming to Vegas (from Australia) in 2 weeks and can ship it from there to avoid any hassles. If I don't get a decent offer in the next week or so I will put it on eBay... (Message edited by waggaboy on January 23, 2004) |

Unfortunatley I can't make you an offer but I must say it looks immacculate especially for it's age. |

I may be interested in this bass; can you post some specs and an asking price before you sell it on ebay? I've been looking around here for a short time looking at a SC but this would be better on my pocketbook. You can email me at wise_gaia@hotmail.com if you would like to discuss more. Thanks. Ryan. |

Hi Ryan, It is a textbook SC Deluxe, as per http://www.alembic.com/prod/sigdlx.html - It has a Rosewood top/bottom, 30.75" short scale, etc. I bought it new from Guitar Centre in LA in '91. The serial is 89SC5398 if you want to check with HQ :-) I am a little reluctant to state an asking price, but the best offer north of $3k will be a winner. I am out of step with the world and don't have a digital camera - yet -- hence the limited picks. I am going to take more pics and scan them this week -- particularly of the imperfections -- so you can judge for yourself. For those of you that have privately requested the additional photos/detail I will send them this week. Anyone else, please feel free to post and request them - and I'll send them through. Hopefully my "baby" won't have to suffer the indignity of eBay :-) Kind Regards, Sean. (Message edited by waggaboy on January 27, 2004) |

Hey Sean; thanks for sending me the photos even if I didn't get them (I was off line for a few days and that hotmail inbox fills fast!). I will watch the auction on ebay. Ryan. |

Boy oh boy oh boy, that bass would look perfectly next to my stereo and my plants.... If I only had the money..... two persons would be happy.... Sean; knowing that this baby has found a perfect home, and myself; playing untill my fingers bleed. Other ones won't be that happy; my neighbours (What's that noise??), and the local bartender; what happened to my sales?? Mattheus |
