I was mildly interested, especially since it's so close to me, then I realize it's for a 5-string, so no go!

Those pickups are not 5-string specific. They must be the standard size because the 5-string ones we've made do not have that decoration on it.

But there's nothing stopping them from being used with as many or as few strings as will fit over the pickups since they are bar magnets.

I got a response from the seller stating that these pups were 3 9/16" and 3 11/16". That would make them the same size as my 69 Fender 4 string Jazz bass.

These should fit in most standard 4 string Jazz pup routes.

Allright, I've been eyeing these, and I'm gonna take the plunge. No one bid against me!!! :-)

Anyhow, I've got a Hamer Cruisebass that's gonna get the Alembic treatment.

Once I install them, I'll share my thoughts with the group.

Go for it Joe.

I have Alembic pickups on my '77 Jazz Bass. Amazing sound!

You will not be disappointed. The price is good also.

Sad, I lost out. I was all set to counter bid, but the iPhone ebay app froze up on me. Oh well, someone else got a good deal, and there's always next time!
