I put this in the Wanted & Wishing section but thats probably the wrong place (please delete mods if appropriate):

Anyways .... I really like my recently acquired Alembic '86 Spoiler (its in the showcase section) - the quality is so much higher than on any other bass I own (and I am fortunate to own some nice basses, esp my 72 Precision and Nash 63 Jazz). Am so impressed that I would like an Alembic 5'er to complement my Fender(alike) 4 stringers and would be able to offer a trade involving one or both of my virtually-brand new Gibson Thunderbird (vintage sunburst; worth c.£900) and/or my Fender '76 Precision fretless (sunburst, rosewood, near-mint; worth c.£1,500), depending whats on offer. Not really looking to add cash as all spent out.

I would ideally like a maple-topped Spoiler 5, the double of my 4 string Spoiler. Failing that an Essence or MK or Epic 5'er. Sacrilege to say on this site, but I am not overly keen on certain Alembic shapes, especially the long horned ones (eg, Orion, Rogue) or the small-bodied, short scale Stanley Clarke model. Medium or long-scale but not short-scale please.

As I am in London, UK this would be tons easier if the other party was in the UK too. Let me know guys and gals!

Actually I am going to keep hold of my fretless '76 Precision, so its Thunderbird + cash on offer :-) Please email me on mark dot clark at db dot com (anti-spam spelling!) if you have any trade ideas.
