Several months ago, I bought a used Alembic Essence 4 string bass. The bass plays and sounds great, but after playing a Spoiler and a Series I for so long, the small body of the Essence just feels kinda awkward to me. It's not bad, and I would probably get used to it in time, but I thought I'd just ask if anybody had a different Alembic bass (with a wider body) that they'd want to trade. It's a long shot, but that's what makes life interesting. Email me if you've got something in mind and we can exchange pix, etc. | ||

Would you consider an outright sale? I'm in the market for an Alembic but my bad back won't tolerate the weight of most models. | ||

I don't think I'm ready to do that just yet. If I sold it outright, I would immediately try to find another Alembic. I know it's probably a long shot that somebody has a different Alembic that they also want to trade, but it doesn't hurt to ask. :-) | ||

Let me think about that. I've already got a Spoiler, almost identical to the one you're selling. However, I recognize that the whole trade concept was a long shot and I shouldn't be too picky. | ||
