I'm looking at selling my Fenders to help pave the way for a MK Standard.
Midnight Wine PBass s/n MZ214748
Olympic White fretless Jazz s/n MZ0168899

Feel free to email questions, offers, or just to tell me I'm crazy. schap1@bellsouth.net

Not crazy. I sold my old faithful jazz bass to get my Spoiler. I miss certain things about it, but the only reason I'd play it much today is because the Spoiler is already gone and my new Alembic is months away (in gestation, in Santa Rosa). I could certainly understand the history and your tendency to be attached. But if there was ever a good cause to justify sacrificing, you probably have found it (my opinion, which others frequently do not endorse!).

Good luck. I'm sure this was no help at all.

Head owies - Is that an old Cream picture behind your basses? If so, it has been a very long time since I have seen one, and thanks for the head jarring I got from it.

As for selling your basses, I will never sell another, as I always regret it in the end. Sell blood and eat tuna and orange juice for a year. However, it is always best to do what you think is right, as it affects you, not us really. I just hate to see people sell off probable good memories. Luck on the sale.

I'm with poor Nigel!
Brother Sam,
I'd never sell.
Well ...it's easy to say. I have been in the situation to sell my first Alembic (well second actually) a MK coco-bolo. I still regret it but I didn't saw any other solutions that moment. It occur to me now that I was maybe not looking at the right places for a solution. Or I had to talk to other people.
Anyway she (called after my wife Chris) is having a good live in ...Rome Italy with our Brother Stefano Riges.

Now ...if I would made such a decision I would sell 1 of the two. It seems you'r gonna have fretted Alembics, so ... keep the fretless.
Or if you're not into fretless anymore ...keep the P.
I remember Brother Paul the fake one once said that he bought his P-copy just because he feeled the need for a passive-electronics bass.

Anyway ...it's your call. All we can do is standing at the side line and give comments.

Paul the bad one

It would be great to keep everything but sometimes practicality has to rear it's ugly head. I've been wanting a MK for a while now and may get one anyway with or without the Fender step brothers. They don't get played much as it is. Honestly about the only time I do play them is if I carry one to another room without the amp.

Good eye Nigel. That's the cover from the Goodbye Cream album autographed by Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker. It was a Christmas present from my wife a couple of years ago.
