Sorry to kryan1 - didn't mean to step on his post. My bass sounds very much like his.

Almost perfect condition - very low mileage. Recent work: RF shiled upgrade, rewire neck lites, new pots and knobs.

$3100

sounds interesting. I am looking for a 30 to 32' scale, not very heavy, series one or two, or brown bass, I have never heard or played a distillate before and am wondering whether they sound like either basses. Also could you explain the electronics.I would think that the PU selector has 1, 2, both and mute, back switch for leds and volume, tone and 3 different Q switches?????????. scale length?

They are bass and treble quick switches to boost/flat/cut them, my understanding is that nothing sounds like a series bass

Yes, the three toggles close together are:

(1) boost/flat/cut for bass
(2) boost/flat/cut for treble
(3) on/off for Q

"Q" applies an 8 dB boost at the filter drop-off frequency. That frequency is set by the filter pot (which is not quite a tone pot).

Adriann is correct. It's a 32", moderately head-heavy so I wear a suede strap t keep it in place. Lots of tone variation and the clearest low E I've ever heard. I keep the Q switch on all the time because I'm a low-freq junkie.

Sorry - original post should say 'quilted maple' not 'flame maple'. So hard to keep my maples straight.

There you go - title changed. Licking flames, perhaps - but quilted it is.
