The search is on, I've been playing 4 string's for about 8 years now.I have a 06 Stanley Clarke that I love.I picked up a Modulus Quantom 5 about 4 months ago but Ive been really wondering how Alembic builds there 5 string basses. I like the graphite neck of the Modulus but the spacings a bit to wide. and I and for ever in love with the tone range of my Stanley. Alembic builds the best electronics in my opinion, and the EMG pickups just don't make that sweet fat low tone that I like. so I'd like to check out an Alembic 5, any model, I can't buy basses if I haven't tried them out yet so I'm hoping to find one some wear around portland or at least The pacific north west so I can check it out, its ether that or get My bass moded with Alembic electronics! |

Hi Nick, Remember also that Alembic will do almost any string spacing someone requests (they do have standard staring point specs as well), so be ready to measure the spacing you have on the Modulus at the nut and the bridge so you can quantify what spacing you would like to be under. Mike |
