That is a lovely Europa, I have had the same model as that in Bocate for about 5 years and it's a great first call instrument. A very versatile bass and for anyone who needs the alembic sound but also an ability to get close to a Fender bass type tone this is the way to go. All the best for the sale. jazzyvee |

I bought Ivan's black '88 Spoiler and can confirm that it was a really smooth transaction despite me being the other side of the Atlantic. If there was a feedback section on Alembic Club he would get a positive from me! |

Hi jazzyvee I really like the black '88 Spoiler. Not just due to the Metallica associations (!) but the smaller body size and shorter scale make it very easy to play. Compared with my old '82 Spoiler, as was discussed on another thread, it's pretty heavy at 11 pounds but a 4 inch- wide leather strap from Minotaur (based in Greece, check them out, excellent quality) sorts that out. Simple electronics make it easy to get a good tone quickly. Love it! Not posted photos as my camera takes them with too much memory and I don't know how to rectify this as I am very camera-naive. |
