1989 Stanley Clarke Deluxe model 30.75 Short scale. Bass is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. Need to make room for my new Alembic on order. The action on this bass is incredible and frets show almost no wear at all. All electronics are quiet and work properly. Top and back are Coco Bolo with a Mahogony core. Neck is 5 piece maple and purpleheart with an ebony fingerboard. Mother of pearl inlays. Back plate and truss rod cover are in new condition still covered in plastic. No bucle rash or scratches. 2 imperfections shown in the pics. Small ding in the edge of the bass near the strap button, and a small repair must have been done a long time ago to the upper horn as the wood is a different color. Finish looks like a bass that is 2 years old! I have a lot of pics below but feel free to ask any questions. Bass has also been upgraded with a Drop D tuner.

Priced to sell Quickly @ 2950.00

Wow that is one gorgeous bass. I've not seen a cocobolo top with that much swirl in the pattern it sure is impressive.

Well I'll receive this beauty next week and my big question is can you use a strap lock @ the neck end without being jabbed in the stomach ?
Also what type of strings you prefer ? Thanks again to Alan.cw

The answer is yes. I used to have two small standards with Schaller locks that never poked my gut once, but at that time I didn't look like I was hiding a small watermelon under my shirt. Hang it waist high and plant your forearm on the lower bout and all will be well.

I confirm what Kungfusheriff says there.
You sure have got yourself a beauty there. I use the standard Alembic strings on my sc bass.
