I've decided to let a bunch of my preamps go and this is one of them that didn't make the "absolutley must keep" list. I'm the third or fourth owner and someone prior to me lost a bunch of the screws holding the chassis together. It has all the 'essential' screws still holding everything together - for lack of better term or description I guess. There is a healthy amount of rack rash from being lovingly used for a number of years.

S/N: 1417 as visible in one of the pictures.

Speaking of pictures I'm including a ton so you get full disclosure on condition.

Functionally it's a 10/10. Cosmetically probably more 6/10.

Respond here or email me (it's in my profile)

Wow, that's the first F-1X I've seen in the older style with the red knobs. Glad someone grabbed it, I was tempted!

It has arrived safely but I'm not here, or there, well my nephew says the box looks good. Anyway I'll be home Monday to give it a test flight. The serial number indicates that it was made in 81 or 91 or 2001 on the 17th day of April.

I think Alembic changed their serial number system in there someplace. It's maybe the one thousand four hundred and seventeenth one made? It's going to spend most of it's time plugged into a PA board.
