Finally started getting around to modifying my strat, which for the past few years has just sat hanging on the wall. I got the neck and the action to feel just right, and started to swap out some of the stock components that I disliked about the guitar. All it needs now are some real pickups! I would love to find a SSS strat set, all wired and ready to put into the pickguard, but would also take a SSH set, or a HH set. I know i've seen a few prewired pickguards floating around the bay with the older Alembic single coils, but I figured I would see if anyone around here has any. Hell I'll take anything, old skylark pickups, Series pickups, etc (a strat with series electronics, I couldn't even imagine!) email sjhoffma@uvm.edu if you know of any, or have anything you are looking to get rid of. Ever since I sold my 2 alembics, I have been craving that sound. I figure it would be cheaper then buying another series 1, and will likely be the precursor to my next big Alembic purchase. |

All the best in finding some pickups and electronics It's worth doing. There are at least a couple of us here who have upgraded our strats in the same manner and the sound difference is amazing. I'm just waiting for mine, (over a year now), to come back from being refinished. Jazzyvee |

I have a new hhs set complete. V T 5 way switch. No pickguard though. Alembic store price $1300, my price $650 shipped. Never installed. You may try to find a used set or a guitar that already has them loaded. |
