Selling everything unfortunately. It took me years of buying and selling to find my tone that I was always looking for but after nearly 9 months of being laid off I guess its time to quit playing. I will sell everything together or seperate. If you buy everything it is 89 Elan 4 string, Eden wt400 head, Alembic SF-2, 10 space skb rack with a drawer that is too big for it(it sticks out the back) and a furman pl-8 power conditioner and speaker cords and some instrument cables ect. 2x12 EBS Proline cab and a Chunk Systems 00funk envelope filter pedal, a non origional case for the elan which it fits in good enough to transport it in, a zoom h4 field recorder and a tascam bt-1 bass trainer. You would have to pay actuall shipping but everything but the bass and cab would fit in 1 box.I will say $3800 for all but will seriously think about any serious offers.I will get photos up soon

Sorry to hear your situation. I hope something positive happens on the job front for you before you have to sell off your gear. Understandably you must feel gutted.

Sorry to hear about you situation. Its a tough time for many of us. If you are interested in selling the Elan, Id be very interested hearing how much you want and if you would part with it separately.

Elan is on ebay for 2100 or best offer, so make an offer,it has a spot about the size of a dime where the clear coat is worn off for some reason has some surface scratches on back and a few surface marks on front looks like someone played with a ring on their finger and made some tiny spots on the surface, ebs cab is 625 obo shipping would be over 100 at least its about 80lbs, trying to get pics up make an offer or send me an email and i can get you better pics, the sf2 sold already. I have a 10 space skb rack with a furman pl-8 and a huge drawer in it ( the drawer is too long and sticks out the back about 4 inches oops in ordering)asking 125 ,eden head wt400 fan may be broke hasnt come on or overheated though for 375, or would sell the rack, furman pl8,drawer and head together for 450, shipping on everything would be extra so make an offer and one day I will get a new rig and a series II!!!!

those are starting point for haggling prices by the way. Those are the ebay prices which are a lil high to cover the cost of selling on ebay but they are good starting point for haggling so make an offer. mediumsmitty@yahoo.com

Did the Elan ever get sold? As a new member, it would be my honor to give this bass a good home where it would be played and appreciated.

Thanks,
Mac.

Smitty, I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. These WILL pass.

Fellas, this is a no-brainer. That's a HELL of a deal for an Elan (ask me, I've got one), and this one has the J-pickup a space away from the bridge (WAY better than having it backed up right to the bridge). Butcher block maple with that great Zebra top, and you WILL NOT find a better deal. Just a few 'character' marks, patina if you will. Used and PERFECT costs a LOT more.

So let's help Smitty out and keep it in our community where it belongs. Even better, somebody buy it with the proviso you'll sell it back to Smitty (for the same money!) when things look up for him down the road ! !

Kellog: I have the Elan now. I bought it and it is indeed a wonderful bass. Smiity has told me this week that he will be buying the bass back, however, he's been trying to do that for several weeks. In fairness to Smitty, I've had sellers remorse before and I know how it feels. Still, from my standpoint the bass has to go soon. I'm intent on getting a short scale Alembic. There is one that is perhaps on the horizon that has my heart thumpin. So, in short, contact me at the e-mail in my profile and we'll make arrangements should the bass be available next Monday morning. I've secured a genuine Alembic case for it that will be here Wednesday. The one Smitty had is generic and works find but is not Alembic. Let me know

Kellogc is the new owner of the Elan. It's a nice bass, it did everything I needed and more but the scale is not suitable for me.
