Hi,
On ebay is an auction about Alembic electronics. Look:
http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=23300&item=3714278455&ssPageName=STRK:MEBWA:IT

On a request to send a more detailed picture were it sais Alembic, the owner wrote:

"Dear Mr. van der Grient
a few years ago the electronic was ordered for an Alembic Bass, but never built in. So I have to say, it is an electronic for an Alembic bass, I cannot say if it is produced by Alembic."
(picture uploaded as attachement)
My guess: NOT Alembic electronics, or...
What do you think?alembic electronics

I contected the seller this morning. Here's what he reported:
-------------------------------------
Dear Mr. Wickersham,

thank you very much for your important information. Falsely I thought, that this device is an original Alembic-component. To be on the safe side, I have finished the auction.
-------------------------------------

So at least he knows and can represent it better should he ever decide to sell it again. Thanks to the Alembic Brigade!

It looks like early EMG stuff. They had used plastic shafts and the preamp module mimics their earlier logo.

Hello Marco,

welcome to the club.
Your first post seems to indicate that you are a true Alembic lover; thanks for the tip.

Marco, way to make an entrance, brother! Nailed an imposter right out of the gate.
Your profile doesn't indicate if you are an Alembic owner. If so any photos you can post will be appreciated. If not, glad to have you still.

Welcome Marco! There always seems to be someone trying to pawn off some kind of Alembic imitation (sometimes in name only, like the one you found). Thanks for jumping on it. I agree with Sam: Glad to have you aboard!!

Marco, your English is way better than my Dutch or Flemmish.
Maybe we can make Elf the official language of Alembic.

Welcome Marco from a small distance from your home.
I will not be the only Belgian or Dutch Alembic fan who welcomes you here.
Watch out for PTBO who will be here soon, he's pretty late ;-)

I am looking forward to see your introduction.
Nice to see the Benelux family grow ...

Cheers

I guess since Sam already mentioned it, I should live up to my name and bid you "Elen sila lumen omentielvo"
