I have a beautiful 6 string wal fretless that I would like to sell 3'600gb pounds or trade for a series 2 alembic 5 or 6 string or maybe a ken smith bt6,
It is in as new condition with nicely figured walnut facings, gold hardware, Dunlop flush mount straplocks & sounds & plays out of this world, if you have any questions please ask :-)

Thank you for that, the reason i'm selling/trading is because i'm looking for a fretted bass, my first choice would be a wal 6 fretted but they are so rare, my fretless is the only one of two that i've ever seen, but i'm very drawn the the alembic series 1 or 2 5 & 6 strings, if all else fails i'll have this one fretted but it means moving the dots on the edge of the fingerboard & the brass nut is set in quite deep too,

Al :-)

i'm only 5'5" this picture actually shows how small the wal really is,

Thank you for the offer, they are nice basses but I'm really looking for a cash sale or trade for a smith bt6 or alembic 5 or 6 string :-)

Hey zemog59, you still trying to trade that Dingwall? Why not just sell it on ebay and then use the money towards an Alembic? Just a suggestion.

Oh, and lttleal, sweet Wal, and good luck with your sale/trade. I've got two Wal's, and they hang proudly next to my Alembic.

Hey Al,

Thanx 4 your input BUT the fact is I just LOVE my dingwalls & was looking 2 trade 1 4 an Alembic cuz I miss my 93 Europa 5 banger so badly. I'm not really looking 2 sell it outright cuz they are so rare & I would just rather trade with a fellow gear head. That's a mighty fine bass you have there, Wal went belly up for a while & now supposedly r back BUT same quality etc? What drew me to Wal in the first place was Geddy's interest in the "show of hands" era, in my opinion that is the BEST sound he ever had, full, warm with his trademark rubbery notes combined with some solid low end. How he gravitated from that towards those anemic Fender basses is beyond me, maybe just to prove he can make ANY bass sound good lol
( which he can of course) He has been stuck on them 4 so long BUT there is a glimmer of hope, rumor has it he has been experimenting with dingwalls being that they r made in Canada etc so we'll see. I always thought the Novax fanned fret system combined with Alembic craftmanship would be the ultimate bass bomb BUT when I sent an email inquiring about such a beast, I was ignored lol.

Hey Stephen,
Thank you for that,
I love Geddy's playing too & this wal nails his sound with the tone filters wide open, as for the quality I've had 4 wals previously through the 80's & 90's & this one is every bit as good,
I'm struggling at letting this go but I've always wanted to try an alembic :-)
