Well it seems some of us a paring down a few things, that includes me too. I would like to offer for sale my custom bass here first, before posting up on our favorite auction site.

This bass is another of Adam's creations, and pics can be seen here.

I would like to get $3500, which will include shipping in the contiguous US. Please feel free to contact me at timsan7@aol.com for additional details if you are interested. Thanks!

How would you describe the sound compared your other Alembics. This one seems to have a very unusual combination between woods and pick-ups.

I would describe the sound as a little closer to a J bass, but with some additional punch and clarity. The tone controls add quite a bit of versatility. Dial in the filter, and it puts some Alembic frosting on the cake, for a solid Alembic tone.

Well, crap! Every day since this posted, I've run to the mail to see if a rich relative I don't know about had sent me an unexpected $3500. Congrats on the sale to both parties; it's sweet. Did it stay in the family?

Yes, you could say the bass went to a member of the extended family. He is not yet a member of the club, but frequents here often. Maybe we will have another new member soon.

Peter, did you forget about that money tree in your backyard? Or did it die like mine did. I hate it when when things like that happen.
