I found this and called the store owners, and apparently it was originally an Alembic but something "tragic" happened and it was put back together by an outside luthier. Apparently all the electronics are original though. I'm really tempted to buy it, but my question is does anyone have any more information about this bass? $3500 for an admitted fake that was destroyed and rebuilt by God knows who? No freaking way. You can still get a real, undamaged Series bass in a private sale for that kind of cash. |
