Hello my friends. There is an Epic on eBay right now but the owner knows nothing about it...

Could you please provide the usual details for 98W11571?

Thanks & Regards,
Sean.

Hello Sean,

I am not at work now, so I can't look it up, but I am a bit confused, since I see that the owner has already listed all the woods, which match the pictures well; other than the date of completion, I don't see what else I could tell you. It's got brass hardware and standard Epic electronics, that I can see from the pictures.

Thanks Val -- was really interested in the scale length -- I have a blind hope of finding a 35" Epic that I can convert to a fretless :-)

Sean,

It's funny, we may have very different views in some areas, but it sure is hard to argue about a 35(+) inch fretless :-)

Yeah, I kind of think you're dreaming here, but it opened my mind to the possibility of finding something close and putting on a new fingerboard. Thanks for that.

I'm not a collector, and I'm not looking for another bass (really, honest, not even thinking about it), but you know... if I saw an extra long scale, Series, mid- to late-70s vintage, preferably with solid Koa wings, and the only problem was that it had frets... But shoot, there really weren't any 5 strings back then - though I suppose I could string it BEAD? - and I really don't want to deal with the fancy cable and power supply...

Well, nevermind.

Good luck on your search.
-Bob

Sorry Sean, it's a 34 inch scale. :-(
Completed 6/3/98.
