I am selling a series I 4string. the serial number 74-130 with broken headstock. The electronics are no longer there (it still has the pick-ups and hardware). (I can e-mail pictures, if you are interested) I was going to have the headstock repaired and replace the electronics, but I am never going to get around to doing it, so I am selling it for the discounted cost of the pick-ups and hardware. Alembic can repair the headstock for approx $300.00...the headstock is completely broken off. (You can contact Mica about the cost of new series I electronics.) The top wood appears to be bubinga wood and the back is zebra wood. I was told that the core is Birch? I am asking 300.00 plus half the cost of shipping (UPS Ground US Only), preferably to Alembic for you to repair the bass.

Thanks, Geoff

I can be reached at 410-961-0132 or gmt65@yahoo.com

I have seen it. It's description is pretty much spot on. Except it has had it's top changed in it's past, and is now bookmatched to center. It has the newer pickup placement so that the neck pickup is further from the neck for slapping and popping. When the top was changed, the pickup switch moved to where they are now too. It was also drilled for a master volume. It also has a truss rod cover in place. It is the older style large point body, but the point is somewhat more rounded and softened as they were back then.

The headstock break is pretty clean and fixable. It is broken clean under the veneers and when is fixed will be pretty much undetectable. I think it is a good buy, BUT - no electronics!
