Hi, I`m an Alembic user since long time. My first was an used Series I 1982 long scale that I get in 1989, later in 1992 an other used but now a Spoiler model. I sell this alembics in this year an purchase a brand new Essence 4 Strings Alembic that I have til today. In 1998 I get and other used Alembic Essence but now with 5 strings... I like very much all alembics that I had specially the series I. Today I`m with this 2 alembics Essence model but really want a signature series model.
I listen very much Mark King and Stanley Clarke and I really like all Alembics Basses hehehe...
I`m glad to be here ...
cheers
RS

Hi Roger and welcome to the Club!

Do you have any pictures of your basses to post? We'd love to see them.

Hello Roger,

welcome to the club. Nice to have a South American member. I love Brazil, I hope to be able to visit there again in the future.

If you have pictures of your basses, by all means, please post them in the showcase section.

Hello Roger
I'd like to welcome you also. I've never been to Brazil. My daughter was there a couple of years ago and loved it.
You're right about all basses being great.
I just listened to the mp3 tracks on your website. Very nice, I especially liked the one with you and Frank Solari. Is he your brother?

Sam

Hey Roger,

Welcome to the club! I am also an Essence owner and enjoy Stanley Clarke and Mark King as well. You will meet some very interesting and helpful characters on this site and almost everyone is going to ask you to post a pic or two of your instruments so you might as well get busy and get us some pictures. Again welcome, welcome, welcome!

The MP3 tracks are very nice! You have a great tone and very nice technique. And I like the style of music you write.

HI Roger,

welcome to the club! The PAULS section is very lazy lately so I do the beer-bottle-banging whole alone on the table and start yelling for pictures.
I really love the website and in some corners of the pictures you can see some Alembics "lingering on" -oh ...huhuh ...that's a song- so I guess you use them pretty exclusively on stage.
On day -when I'll be a grown up- I will learn to slap to. I have this VERY good instruction video of Alexis Sklarevsky on the subject but for one or another reason my thunbs and fingers are not exactly producing what I want to hear.
Well ...it COULD be my ears!
Or I'll have some knob-fumbling to do on Tweak Peaks.
BTW: Roger, can you tell us about your amp system??

Paul the bad one

And another Welcome from the USA,
I also am interested to know what your live rig is made of.

By the way, did I mention "pictures"?

Wow! thanks everyone! ya I have a pic of my 5 strings Essence Alembic with me right here. I`m in Spain and in 3 weeks I go back to Brasil and can get a pic of my other Essence Alembic.
Hey bassman10096 thanks very much :-) !! I`ll add more samples on mp3 section.
dadabass2001: I use in Brasil one Hartke-Systems model 3500 and 2x 4x10" Marshall cabinets 400w each :-)
I`ll post in the showcase section pics that I have, latter when I`m in brasil I take some pics of my amp and my olders alembics.
Thanks very much for all replys and I`ll try to contribute in all ways for the alembic world ;)
Cheers
RS
