Hi,

This is just to show my new girlfriend. Does anyone know how to get some more info about it? It's serial # is 02MJ12909 USA.

BTW: Why are there so many Dutch Alembic fans?

O yes, Wilfred, is het nog gelukt met de verkoop?

Cheers,

Cor.

Hai Cor, niet slecht, helemaal niet slecht! Typisch gevalletje van de aanhouder wint op Marktplaats?

That's one great bass you've got there! My little blonde Series I has mysteriously 'morphed' into a Glockenklang 'The Passenger' combo I'm hoping to pick up at Edwin's store this or next week, thanks for asking!

If you want to know all about her (BTW: she's a 2002 Coco Bolo topped Mark King Standard with some very tasty upgrades), you could post an info request topic in the 'Owning an Alembic' section. Based on the serial# Mica or Val will eventually provide you with all the info that could be found about her in the 'A-files'...

Why are there so many Dutch Alembic fans?

It must be the inherent common sense and open minded-ness that pervades that section of the world!!!

Beautiful instrument and welcome!

Beautiful bass Cor, love those Mark Kings. I have one on my wish list.
Yeah we're the only self help group that encourages each others addictions.
There are a lot of Dutch here and New Englanders it seems. There must be a connection. Wasn't New York originally New Amsterdam?

Hi everybody,

Thanks for the overwhelming encouragements. Much appreciated.

Yes Sam, it's even said that our ancestors sold New York for a box of apples (how clever...).

B.t.w., Wilfred, I imported this bass from England, not from 'Marktplaats'.

Kind regards,

Cor.

Hi Cor,

Ziet er fantastisch uit!

Not sure about the apples though, I think they traded New Amsterdam for Suriname. Yeah, our forefathers sure knew a thing or two about business opportunities - right.

Hey Cor,

So you finally got your Alembic. It took some time but you got it. It's a real beauty. Must be a dream to play. I hope you will have a lot of fun with it.
Did Paul ask you about more pictures already? Hmmm?

The story about New Amsterdam (Manhattan) is a bit different though and a bit longer.
