Hey Kev, congratulaions on your 1st Alembic & welcome to the club! You will find the most friendly & knowledgeable people on the planet here always happy to assist you in any way they can! For serial number lookup go to this page - http://alembic.com/club/messages/394/22072.html?1343928888 It may take Mica a while to find the info on your instrument as she is incredibly busy & the files are not on computer, they are old school actual file cabinets with folders for all the instruments they have info on. So she has to look through all the files by hand until she finds the info you are looking for. If she has a file for your instrument she will be able to tell you when it was built, what types of wood were used, what electronics it has, & in many cases who the original owner was. If you post a picture, many forum members can identify the wood for you before Mica has a chance to find the info. Good luck & enjoy your new bass! |

Hi Kev, I once found an Alembic Spoiler in the most improbable small Music cornerstore in a street of Sao Paulo in Brazil... It was sitting there, quite lonely. I took the number and sent it to Mica. The same evening, I had the whole pedigree of the bass, and accessorily it had been sold first hand to a music shop... In South Korea...!!!! The next day I went back to the shop and bought it just to frame it...! |
