Hey guy's and gals, my name's brian, originally from Chicago, transplanted to Seattle, I live way up in the mountains, but seattle would be the closest city, unless you know where Baring Wa. is. Ahh yes but The Dead played in Sultan Wa. about ten minutes from my house in 68' Interesting history on that concert, being the pre-cursor to woodstock, and one of the first outdoor concert events. I digress, I've played music most of my life, and Saved the best for last, since i've always loved the sound of alembic, just wasn't sure what voice I would have. I spent most of my twenty's touring the country all the while maintaining an almost full-time sheetmetal career. Anyways hope to chat more often, I see alot of great topics going on here, and look forward to getting involved. Oh year my first is on it's way to alembic in the form of an 89' five string distillate. I already know I'll be getting a second one pretty guickly, to save the agony of not having one in my hands at all times. I'm sure you guys know what that's like. Take care......B. |

Brian: Welcome to the club! You'll find a great group of supportive people here who are always ready to offer help. When you get your Distillate back please make sure to post pics in the Showcase section. A Distillate was my first Alembic (about 5-years ago now) and you're correct in assuming that even if you never had more than one instrument that you played in the past, after you've tasted Alembic you are going to want to come back for more. |
