Hi everybody. I just put my order in with Susan for the new "darling" model. Its based on Dr. J's custom k guitar. They should start production next week, now I have to keep myself busy untill then.

Hi Joseph,

Welcome aboard! Congratulations on your new adventure.

What goes into this new "darling" model?

And welcome again, Joseph.

You should be able to keep yourself busy watching your baby's progress in the "Factory to Customer" thread.

Hey Hollis, if you go to "factory to customer", its Jonathans custom guitar. I was planning on building a skylark like Tom Z's but having seen Dr. J's model it freaking blew my mind. Its so funky looking with the omega cut that I knew right then what I wanted. Mine will have the same wood make-up as the further model with skylark electronics. The people at Alembic are the best to work with. I have been calling Susan about every day trying to work out what I want and she has been very cool about it. She also said that when I get back to the states it should be done. Like I said before, now that I know what I want the waiting is going to drive me crazy.

Hi Joseph,

I spoke to Susan on Friday, she was telling me about your guitar. She explained Dr J's was Jonathan's Little Bear. She was very excited about your new custom. Man, it sounds like it's going to be another masterpiece. Very cool.

I have to admit though, I thought you were talking about Dr. J, the basketball player... and me not even knowing he played guitar....
