Hi all: I have been lurking in the shadows for awhile and have enjoyed the support, humor and kindness that you have all shown each other. I recently obtained my first Alembic bass, a lefty Orion so I decided it is time to introduce myself. I am looking for more lefty Alembics and would appreciate any help, please drop me an email if you know of any. For some reason one Alembic just isn't enough! |

Hi Michael, welcome to the club! Nothing beats an Orion as a first introduction to the wonderful world of Alembic, believe me, I've been there, done that. Please post some pictures in the Showcase section if you can, we really do like to look at pretty basses 'round here, you must have noticed that from your place in the shadows, LOL! Enjoy your bass! Hey Michael! Great to have another lefty in the house, and another Michael to boot! I have had the Alembic fever for many years now. I have happily given up hope for a cure! I have three: A 98' Figured Walnut Europa,( my first) a very dark 86' cocobolo Distillate, and My latest is a 90'cocobolo custom Elan 6. Sometime next year I will be taking delivery of my first series bass!!!!.Something that I have dreamt about for many years. I guess we'll be arm wrestling for every used lefty that surfaces here at the club HA HA! Not really, I will be quite broke for a good long time after this latest purchase. We should start a Brotherhood of the Sinister Hand ( the BSH!)sub chapter of the Alembic club. I know there's more southpaws lurking around. Mike |

Hi Michael, welcome to the group. If you've been lurking for a while then you know you gotta post pictures. Congratulations on the Orion and good luck with finding a 4 string. Sam |

Thanks for the warm welcome, I see there are other Alembic brothers who feel the pain of searching for the ever elusive left handed Alembic bass, especially those of you in the UK. This website is a great source for all of us lefty or righty, searching for our dream bass/guitar new or used. I will post a few pictures of my bass soon. Thank you again for the greetings. |
