Hi. I just joined the Alembic club. The Internet as we know it wasn't quite around just yet (anyone remember CompuServe, Progidy, and the original AOL?...) when I quit playing professionally. I had 2 Jazz basses and 2 Series 1s at different times. Recently, at 55 ears old, the desire to play again has been too much to resist. The Series 1 (#78-1233)I'm about to purchase has a semi-interesting story that I'll pass on once the purchase is complete (the one and only owner and my good friend as well is out of the country and based on his wishes, I'll complete the purchase when he returns. And I'll post pics as well. This place has proven to be a wonderful resource for info. I look forward to participating and learning more. Thanx, Geri O |

Geri - welcome to the club! Yes - I still remember my Compuserve ID and my last password. I remember that passwords were assigned by Compuserve, and mailed (as in paper in an envelope delivered by a person) to you! I also remember that if you connected at high speed (1200 bps), it was $12.95/hour!! Hope your purchase goes through, and we get to hear the story... |
