Hello Everyone, I have been lurking for awhile and decided I should join in... These forums are really the cats meow!.. Great bunch of folks we have here... I don't play professionally much anymore, and I have owened an Essence since 1991... I started my desire for an Alembic back in 1975, and well to be honest, I got side tracked with all the great basses availible out there. What a mistake. There really is no comparison.. The construction of my Essence has really proved itself over the years, and the sound... well you know... I'M looking forward to the great interactions here in the forum. Regards, Roy |

Hi Roy and welcome. I do not agree with you. If you hadn't tried other basses you would not have anything to compare. Oivind |

Hi Roy, Welcome aboard! I collected and played pre-CBS Fender Jazz Basses, Rickenbackers, Stingrays, and many others before going Alembic. After gigging a few months with my 83' Distillate Exploiter.....I sold all of my other basses without any regrets. |
