Hello everyone, Ever since I heard Stanley Clarke play his Alembic I had to have one. By chance in 1980 I walked into Giant Music in Falls Church Va. and they had a used series I. I picked it up and played it and my life changed.I bought it on the spot for $900.00. This has to be the finest bass I've ever played. I was currently playing a Fender Jazz and a Gibson EB3, Which at the time were fine instruments, but they couldn't compare to the Alembic. The first to go was the EB3 but kept the Fender for a back up. But as time went by It was never played again And it too was sold. I have played other bass's and still none can come close to the feel and sound of an ALEMBIC. The best ever made. I'll try to post a picture. Howierd |

Welcome, Howierd. Join in the discussions some time. I'm sure after 25 years with a Series 1 you have a lot to contribute. Rich |
