After 15 years, it's finally happened: I OWN an Alembic Bass. My dream came tru. My Bass is a Mark King Signature DeLuxe and it's in a perfect condition. I made some pictures so everybody can see how beautifull this instrument is. I hope to get lots of useful information from the Alembic Club !

Great bass. Enjoy. Is it a Deluxe or a standard as I would have expected Purple Heart neck laminates on a Deluxe. Does it have a Cocobolo back? Anyhow, that doesn't matter as it is a great looking bass whatever.

Jelle,
Welcome to the club.
Sweet bass, play it in good health.
You will learn all kinds of stuff from these guys. All you need to do is ask.
Best of luck.

Fanx for the reactions. This bass is a Standard S-n 95MJ9412 with a mahogany back.

Welkom Jelle! And congrats on your purchase. Your (bass playing) life will never be the same, trust me.

BTW: it doesn't take a glance at your profile to guess your profession.... Great bass, equally great pics. I haven't been able to capture mine in a manner that justifies publication yet (most pics look the same as your top right one, but in my case the effect is unintentional ;-D!). So pls share a few tips and trics in the photo dept? Take care, Reinier

Thay's one fine machine you got there Jelle. I don't think it matters if it's a custom, standard or signature bass. If it was made by Alembic then it is fantastic and will sound like no other bass ever made by any manufacturer. Good luck with your playing.
