My recent decision to put aside the luthier's tools, and get back to full time session work and gigging on the bass, was the best thing I have ever done. It is what I was made to do, and for the first time in years, I am whole again. The joy I am feeling these days is what life is all about. And, doing it with all of my awesome new Alembics is absolute Nirvana! Check out the killer Europa I have been touring with in the following link:

Nicely done, Trevor. I still remember fondly jamming with you at one of the NAMM shows in Chicago back in the day.....

Who are you touring with these days, and what other basses are you playing?

Yep, it is a blast playing full time again. Definitely the right decision.
I am working with various musicians with vastly different styles, but it is all fun. I am in a funk and R&B band with the legendary Motown guitarist Gemi Taylor. He used to play with Larry Graham, Marvin Gaye and about a million other top musicians. I also am out with a phenomenal Flamenco guitarist named Jon Francis. All Latin and a lot of fretless bass on that stuff.
The main bass I am playing live with these days is a 5 string Europa, but I also use a 6 string Essence. I need to have the side marker LED's in my live basses since dark stages and my old eyesight are the biggest obstacle for me these days. I think I have about 9 Alembics currently, and have found the simple Essence circuits to be excellent for stage use. I really like the Anniversary circuits for recording. Any Alembic circuit is head and shoulders above any other instrument on the market today anyway.
