Hello everyone. I have been playing bass for several years, still enjoying it since the 80's. I don't own an Alembic Bass. But I do own a set of 30 year old set of Alembic jazz bass pickups. They still sound great. But, I do have a problem with the controls. Over the years of wear. Both volume and tone controls have worn out. They do not have an off stop and full volume/tone stop. I have taken them to a tech to check them out, he is afraid to remove them. He say's that they are connected to the preamp and doesn't want to burn out the preamp. I also tried to connect with Alembic. They have yet to reply. Has anyone had this problem? Could use your help? Thanks in advance. |

You might get advice quicker by posting in the "Owning an Alembic - Troubleshooting" heading but if you need to talk directly to the Mothership, it's best to call them on the phone... they are a small shop and very busy, but they can most certainly help you. Finest bunch of folks you'll ever talk to as well. |
